The Challenge
Emma at Baby Bear Studios came to me in August 2024. Her website was plain, text-heavy, slow to load and hard to find your way around. Everything was centre aligned, which made it really hard to read and uploaded images were really big which took around 30s to load on the page. She is also on the WordPress Personal Plan, which limits what you can change.
What I Did
I worked within the plan’s limits to give the site a clear structure: – On brand colour scheme and typography (WCAG AA) – Simple navigation, so visitors can find what they need – Easy-to-read sections – Proper headings for screen readers and Google – Better spacing and layout – Reduced image sizes across the site
The Result
Emma is now proud to share her responsive, smooth and on-brand website with her customers. The feedback she’s received is that her site now loads much faster. She is receiving more enquiries and now has the confidence to update some of the website herself due to the simplified layout and structure.
